A unique opportunity is coming up…
In July 2010 Jon Young will be bringing his Coyote Mentoring teachings to England for the very first time!
We invite you to join us as we re-discover the sense of wonder that all children share! Fancy spending a week learning and experiencing the concepts that are described in the recently published book “Coyote’s Guide to Connecting with Nature” ? This book lays out ways to deeply connect to the natural world and to yourself through methods Jon Young has evolved. Jon’s teachings give a lot of people deep hope that each of us can make a significant impact on today’s environmental problems. He has formed a successful model with which you can develop a learning environment where your participants are having far too much fun to realize how much they are learning.
“Sets fresh standards for environmental literacy that engages body, mind and spirit.”
“This is nature education as it should be : mysterious, timeless, hopeful, evocative, and playful”
David Sobel, author of “Beyond Ecophobia:
Reclaiming the Heart in Nature Education”
Who is Jon Young?
Jon was mentored by Tom Brown Jr. (tracker, survivalist and author) over a period of about a decade in the same manner that Tom himself was mentored by Stalking Wolf, an inspirational Apache scout. He is the only individual to have been mentored by Tom Brown Jr. in this way.
Since then, Jon instructed at the Tracker School, developed a childrens program, founded the Wilderness Awareness School and developed many unique teachings along the way.
