Children’s Policy
Although this is primarily an adult training programme, we are exploring several options to enable parents and families to attend the course. There are different possibilities for different age groups.

THE 10 SPACES FOR ACCOMPANYING ADULTS ARE NOW BOOKED UP
Sorry for any dissappointment
Parents with young children attending other AoM programmes have found it really challenging to be both students and parents. It can also sometimes be difficult for the groups created, as parents swap or leave regularly. With this in mind we have created an option whereby students are able to bring an accompanying adult that will care for the child/ren during the day. It needs to be clearly stated which person is coming to be a full participant and which is coming to provide childcare. This is primarily an adult training course, so adults coming as child carers need to be aware that they might find it hard not to be fully involved in the programme. There will be covered space to be with the children during the day, as well as fields and woodland. Meal times and evenings will generally be all-inclusive and community orientated. If you do not have anyone to come with you to provide childcare, please call us to discuss your situation. There are 10 spaces for accompanying adults, each adult can care for more than one child if they feel confident to do so.
7-12 Years
If enough people have children in this age bracket we will look into hiring a nature mentor to run a dedicated programme for them. This will run during the day – children will be with their parents during most meals and evenings. The cost of the day programme, food and camping will be £150 per child for the full week, the cost may change depending on numbers. We need a minimum of 10 children to be able to offer this. Please state on your form if you’d like you child to come and we will arrange payment once we know it is running.

Unfortunately this year we don’t have capacity to put on a programme for teens.
